Rare Amiibo Will Soon Be Returning To Best Buy

You can lock in your pre-orders right now.

If you’re an amiibo collector who missed out on securing some of the rarer figures back when they were first released, Best Buy is giving you a second chance.

Best Buy will be offering the following amiibo starting on October 14:

  • Samus Aran (Super Smash Bros.)
  • Golden Mario (Super Mario Bros.)
  • Ness (Super Smash Bros.)
  • Mega Man (Super Smash Bros.)
  • Pit (Super Smash Bros.)
  • Sonic The Hedgehog (Super Smash Bros.)
  • Lucina (Super Smash Bros.)
Some rare Amiibo are coming back to Best Buy.

Each amiibo will cost $12.99 and they can all be pre-ordered now via this page on Best Buy’s website. All seven of the above amiibo have become infamous in their rarity, so much so that they can usually only be found via third-party resellers for exorbitant prices. Lucina, for example, is going for nearly double Best Buy’s asking price over on eBay.

Ever since they originally launched back in 2014, many of Nintendo’s amiibo collectibles have suffered from a near-perpetual case of limited stock (an intentional move on Nintendo’s part to up their value). Because of this, potential buyers are encouraged to lock in their pre-orders now, as chances are good that this new stock from Best Buy won’t last long.
