Latest Dishonored 2 Trailer Is All About Thrilling Escapes

Stealth and combat come together in beautifully destructive harmony.

Bethesda and Arkane Studios are working hard to ramp up excitement for next month’s release of Dishonored 2. Their latest efforts take the form of a new trailer which shows how both of the game’s playable protagonists can get out of a particularly sticky situation.

We already know that the game’s two playable characters, spurned empress Emily Kaldwin and veteran assassin Corvo Attano, each come equipped with their own signature powers which can be used to dispatch any foes who cross their path. However, Dishonored 2’s newest trailer titled “Daring Escapes,” shows just how much those unique powers can alter a player’s approach to a specific situation.

In the trailer, the player has just been discovered by a group of hostiles and must make a speedy retreat. Of course, just because the player is escaping doesn’t mean they can’t drop a few bodies along the way.

The trailer even includes an interactive element, allowing the viewer to pick which of the two characters, Emily or Corvo, they want to see escape first. Once the first character’s escape is finished, the trailer transitions seamlessly into the second character’s so there’s no need to manually restart the video.

Dishonored 2 is set to launch on November 11th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. If videos like the Daring Escapes trailer are any indication, the upcoming sequel will vastly improve upon its predecessor’s already rock-solid gameplay while providing players with even more means to utilize their favorite playstyle, be it stealthy incursions or adrenaline-fueled melees.
