The latest addition to Heroes of the Storm’s roster is a bit of a deep cut (no pun intended) for Warcraft fans, but he should still be a recognizable face for folks who played Warcraft 3. At some point in the near future, the Orcish Blademaster Samuro will slice and dice his way into the Nexus.
According to Blizzard, Samuro is an Assassin class hero who uses speed and sudden damage bursts to quickly cut down opponents. His passive trait, Advancing Strike, grants him a 25 percent movement speed bonus for two seconds every time he lands an attack on an enemy Hero.
As for his active abilities, he can create two mirror images of himself which deal decreased damage and have less health. In addition, the ability grants Samuro a Critical Strike which makes his next basic attack deal 50 percent more damage and temporarily makes him both invisible and incorporeal using Wind Walk.
For his two ultimate abilities, Samuro can either go with Bladestorm (a channeled AoE attack) or Illusion Master, an ability which lets him switch places with his mirror images and control the images separately, basically turning him into a faux Three Vikings character.
Blizzard has yet to announce an official release date for Samuro, but when he does arrive in the Nexus, he’ll have his default skin as well as a Master skin and Hellblade variant skin. In addition to Samuro, Blizzard also has other content additions in the works including new mounts and skins for Valla, Kael’thas, and Xul.
