Up until now, Behavior Interactive’s asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight has existed within its own internal fiction, but that all changes today with the launch of the game’s Halloween update. The latest Dead by Daylight Halloween update, which holds true to its name by bringing in iconic elements from John Carpenter’s Halloween movie franchise, includes the unstoppable killer Michael Myers.
Not only does Michael Myers join Dead by Daylight’s roster of playable killers (a roster filled with other ghoulish entities such as an undead nurse and a chainsaw-wielding hillbilly), but the game’s selection of playable survivors is also bolstered by the inclusion of Laurie Strode, the stalwart teenager who was portrayed by actress Jaime Lee Curtis in the original Halloween films. Finally, the update adds in a new map based off the town of Haddonfield, Illinois from the first Halloween movie.
The new Halloween additions for Dead by Daylight can be purchased via a new DLC pack on Steam for $6.99.
