As mentioned above, the new crafting system allows players to create prototype weapons for weapons they already own. These prototype weapons offer different perks than the base version. Each iteration of the prototype offers greater perks than the previous version. There are four different levels of prototypes: Common, Rare, Legendary, and Epic, with the Epic prototype having the most sought-after perks.

In order to craft these prototypes, players will need to use a new in-game currency called Salvage. After unlocking the base version of a weapon, players can then use Salvage to craft the next prototype level.

How to Earn Salvage in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Before you can begin crafting new and powerful prototypes, players will first need to earn Salvage. In order to earn Salvage, players need simply to play the game. Salvage is handed out for nearly all tasks in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. There are daily bonuses, rewards for completing missions, dismantling duplicates from Supply Drops, and even just completing matches.

We’re looking forward to figuring out what sort of Prototype setup we want to take into battle. Being able to create exactly the sort of weapon you want using the new weapon crafting and Salvage system is a great way to enhance your preferred style of multiplayer combat. That’s everything you need to know about how to craft weapons and earn Salvage in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
