Celebrate Polish Independence Day With Game Discounts

Polish independence means sweet deals for you.

While America uses this day to honor its veterans, Poland is paying tribute to the anniversary of when it reestablished itself as a sovereignty following World War I, and one Poland-based company is using its country’s celebration of independence as an excuse to kick off a little game sales event.

Games Republic, a retailer which is owned by Warsaw-based 11 Bit Studios, is now hosting a Polish Games Days sale, which is set to last for the entire upcoming weekend and includes deals which apply to United States-based customers. Among the deals being offered are discounts on several games that were actually made by Polish developers such as The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for $2.99 (an 85 percent discount), SUPERHOT for $14.99 (down 75 percent), This War of Mine: Anniversary Edition for $4.99 (also down 75 percent), Kholat for $6.79 (down 66 percent), and more.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like CD Projekt Red’s most recent Witcher game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is included in the sale, which is a shame since it hides some pretty clever gaming and pop culture-referencing easter eggs.
