A new Pokemon mobile game has been announced IOS and android for Japan. The title of the game is called Hanero! Koiking, which translates to Splash! Magikarp, as revealed by the Pokemon Company. There is a teaser site for the game and that's pretty much all of the information we have at this moment in time about the new Pokemon title. It is highly believed that given the games name, the game will revolve around the Pokemon Magikarp. In the teaser site there is an article that shows two Magikarp shape holes indented in the ground. These holes were said to be found by a 27-year-old fisherman in a very odd place: out of water and in the middle of town.
The new pokemon game is expected to release in the Spring of 2017 for IOS and Android for Japan. There is no word for a release on other markets and as for the gameplay, it is all just speculation until we get closer to the release date. It's not surprising to see Pokemon releases yet another mobile game, given that The Pokemon Company has had lots of success with their past mobile games such as Pokemon Duel and Pokemon GO. The new game should be up to par with the two previous games, if not better. Hopefully if the new game becomes a success in Japan, we could see it released in other countries in the near future.
