It wasn’t until last week when Activison revealed the movement system of the next 3 Call of Duty’s(2017, 2018 and 2019) and Sledgehammer Games' developer, Glen Schofield, is already talking about their new game and his excitement for it. Although, when asked about scorestreaks, weapons, gamemodes, zombies and many other features, Glen Schofield has stayed silent, he's already started to get the hype train going over on twitter.
To start the hype, Glen Schofield tweeted: ‘’There's nothing I can say about the game except there are boots and ground and I guess some roots. I hope I can talk soon or I may implode.’’ This tweet reveals that Call of Duty 2017 will return to its tradition combat but that’s old news now. Glen Schofield responded to a few people who tweeted their concerns about the ‘’roots’’ part in his tweet and said: ‘’Nothing to worry about. Wait until we reveal. You're gonna go nuts. Our best yet dude! Man, I'm so psyched to show it...someday.’’ This really got the community hyped up because one, we’ll be seeing a boots on the ground, tradition combat call of duty and two, Glen Schofield promised the community that once they reveal their new game, the community will go nuts. Let’s this hope this is true.
Lastly, Glen Schofield made a joke about the release date of Call of Duty 2017 saying he doesn’t know the release date is, as game developers only make the game and he ‘sneezed’ when they mentioned the release date in a meeting. Sure Glen, sure.
To sum it up; the Call of Duty community is hyped about Sledgehammer Games’ new Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2017 especially after tweets from Sledgehammer Games Co-Founder Glen Schofield. The community also shared their concerns, will the return of traditional combat make old players, who left the franchise after the movement system adjustment return to Call of Duty and will Call of Duty, once again, become the most popular and successful first person shooter game. We hope it will.
