One of the most talked about games currently, Horizon Zero Dawn, the PS4 exclusive is set to have a day one patch when it launches.
The update includes but is not limited to performance-based improvements tailored for the PS4 Pro and “higher visual fidelity” to support 1080p and 4K outputs. In the official statement, they state that it will add new PS4 Pro-specific options to the menu aimed at tweaking the visual experience. The day-one feature will feature an option to select resolution and HDR/SDR preferences, and can be accessed from the menu by heading to Settings > Visual.
“Horizon Zero dawn will receive a small day zero patch that will build upon PlayStation 4 Pro support, adding a Performance mode which will favor smoother framerates while delivering higher visual fidelity in the 1080ps mode. This mode is available for both 4K and 1080p displays”.
Horizon Zero Dawn’s launch date is right around the corner, February 28th and it is one of the most talked about games. The game has been spoke of being “one of the best games on PS4”. The update is set to only be about 250MB, which is not too substantial but will delay launch day play time by a fraction.
