How to Find Epona in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Guide

The whereabouts of Link's trusty steed Epona are unknown. Not anymore, find out how to acquire the Legendary Horse

Links trusty stead from the Legend of Zelda series is an iconic horse and a favorite fan character. People were super excited to hear that Epona will be tagging along with Link during his new adventure in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, we knew that she was in the game, but we were not informed about the whereabouts or how to obtain this beautiful horse. Someone has located Epona, and this is how to acquire your shining steed.

It's quite simple how to obtain Epona, all you need to do is use you standard Link amiibo on your Nintendo Switch or Wii U in the game. Give it a second or two and Epona will spawn right before your eyes. Make sure to go ahead and register Epona for the low low cost of 20 rupees. Once registered you will receive a saddle and bridle. The game will ask you if you want to rename your horse, but will then realize it is Epona and will refuse to allow you to change the name.

Do note that if Epona dies before registered, you can only respawn the horse again using the Link amiibo. As of now, this is the only way we know of for obtaining Epona. However, like most of the amiibo rewards, you can collect them later on in the game. So for all, we know Epona can still be out in the wild, but for now, go ahead and use those Link amiibos and grab that Legendary horse.
