Mass Effect: Andromeda will officially launch March 21st for North America and March 23rd for Europe but some people, like Shinobi602, already own a copy of the game on Playstation 4. Shinobi602 went public to share some amazing screenshots (taken from the PS4 Pro which runs at 1080P) from Mass Effect: Andromeda. Mass Effect: Andromeda also features the ability to use HDR if you own a compatible display. This makes the game look even better. Scroll down for all of the screenshots shared by Shinobi602.
A while back, Mark Cerny confirmed Mass Effect: Andromeda’s PS4 Pro Resolution to be 1800P (3200x1800) including checkerboard rendering. We haven’t received more information about it or any changes to, usually, Digital Foundry informs us about pixel count and more but luckily, Shinobi602 already owns a copy of Mass Effect: Andromeda so he was able to share some more information about the performance on the PS4 Pro. Here’s Shinobi’s initial report:
‘’First off the performance is great. I’m no Digital Foundry but it seems to hold a steady 30FPS 99% of the time. There was some slowdown during the very first planet I landed on (Habitat 7) because of some effects going on, but quickly went right back up. There were no slowdowns during firefights, biotics, shooting, or anything else like that which is great.’’
‘’Despite noticing a couple bugs, which are to be expected from a Bioware game (from any large open world game, really), as a huge Mass Effect fan he felt like Bioware managed to captured the spirit that made the original trilogy such a widespread success in Andromeda.’’
Mass Effect is mostly known for its campaign with a great story but Mass Effect: Andromeda, for the second time, added a multiplayer mode which so far, has received positive feedback. Shinobi has mentioned storytelling, combat, environmental and lastly gameplay animations, here’s what he said:
• ‘’More Freedom: One of our biggest ambitions is to give players an unprecedented level of freedom for a Mass Effect experience –where you’ll go, how you’ll get there, and how you’ll play.
• New Uncharted Worlds: We’re leaving the Milky Way behind and headed to Andromeda, where we’ll meet new allies, confront new enemies, and explore fascinating new worlds.
• The Next Great Mass Effect Experience: Mass Effect: Andromeda will be the first Mass Effect game for today’s consoles and the first built on the Frostbite engine. We’re pushing the technology to deliver visuals, story, and gameplay that have never been done in franchise history.’’
