The Witcher 4 Will Happen, says CD Projekt RED CEO

CD Projekt RED's CEO has just said that The Witcher 4 is probably going to happen...

Although CD Projekt RED promised The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be the last game in the series, it seems like the overwhelming popularity of the game has caused the promise to be broken. After over 10 million copies sold worldwide, CD Projekt RED's CEO, Adam Kicinski, has made a short statement about the future of The Witcher.

“We have been working in this universe for more than a decade now and I do not think it’s going to be the end of it. It is still early to talk about it, but we have not forgotten this series.” In addition, Kicinski also added “It would be unfair to fans not to make one.”

Now forgive us for not reading the obvious, but too us that means that The Witcher 4 is likely to be released sometime well into the future. Yes, it could be over half a decade until it releases, but nonetheless, it will release. The Witcher 3 is one of the most critically acclaimed video games of all time and anyone that's played it, has likely fallen in love with it. Everything from the story to the graphics makes the game a joy to play, so it's always good to hear that the developers are intending to developer The Witcher 4.

At the moment though, CD Projekt RED is currently working on the much anticipated Cyberpunk 2077, which is slated to release later this year. The game has been in development for nearly 4 years, which gives us a small indication on when to expect The Witcher 4. Even if The Witcher 4 doesn't follow the same development time of 4 years, we're still unlikely to hear on the game until at least 2019. Depsite that sucking massively, at least we know that the game could potentially be one of the greatest of all time.

Well, it's time to watch the Debut Gameplay Trailer of The Witcher 3 and get hyped for the next instalment!
