Over the past several weeks, we've been reporting that leaks around the internet have been suggesting that the next Call of Duty title will be based in World War 2. Although it seemed unlikely to some, yet more leaks indicate that the leaks are true.
Earlier today, a Swiss Retailer called FNAC, posted two images on their Instagram page showing off potential promotion material for the upcoming shooter. The images were on the account for several minutes and then were promptly deleted.
Although this doesn't confirm that the next Call of Duty title will be the rumored "Call of Duty: WWII" title, it does heavily indicate that it will. What's more interesting is that retailers have been getting promotion material for the game so soon, usually with game reveals and releases, retailers will get the marketing assets just a couple of weeks before. What this does suggest, is that we're now only a few weeks away from the big reveal of the next Call of Duty title.
If the next Call of Duty is indeed Call of Duty: WWII, then there is no doubt that the gaming community will be thrilled. For a number of years now, the community has begged the developers and Activision to release a World War 2 Call of Duty title and finally, it looks like their wishes have been granted.
As of yet, there is no indication that the next Call of Duty title will be coming with a Remastered title, similar to Modern Warfare Remastered coming as a part of Infinite Warfare for select editions, and to be honest, there doesn't need to be one. If the rumored title is indeed true, then we strongly believe that it can stand on its own two feet and bring some record breaking sales back to the franchise.
